The Maryland Historical Society is a nonprofit cultural institution in Baltimore, Maryland. It was founded on March 1, 1844.
In 1991, the MHS obtained one of the only known copies of the rare book, The Blair Witch Cult, from the Burkittsville Historical Society.[1]

- The real-life Maryland Historical Society had changed its name to the Maryland Center for History and Culture in September 2020 after celebrating its 175th anniversary.
