Haxan Films was known as a film company. In October of 1997, they were contacted by Angie Donahue to assemble the footage of her daughter Heather and her crew members who went missing in 1994. They then hired the filmmakers Ed Sanchez and Dan Myrick as co-directors for the film, tasking them with the job of editing the footage into a watchable state. Gregg Hale served as producer for the project.
