The Burkittsville Bulletin was the local newspaper in Burkittsville, Maryland in 1825. On August 13, the Burkittsville Bulletin published a news article about the drowning of Eileen Treacle. By 1941 the Burkittsville Register was known to be the only newspaper service still active in Burkittsville.
